More than enough

The other day I read that when you turn in at night, just before you fall asleep, ask yourself 'what's the best thing that happened to me today?' I thought it a fabulous question! I did it last night for the first time, and the only problem was I couldn't decide 'which event' during the day was the 'best'.

It could have been when I dropped by Priority Printing to pick up more copies of my book. The new ones say 'Over 2000 Sold'. Another highlight could have been when I dropped off the books to Indigo at South Edmonton Common and to Coles at Southgate where BOTH store managers were so enthusiastic and encouraging. Another 'best event possibility' was when I contacted two of my dearest friends and made arrangements for dinner Saturday night at one of our favourite eateries. Perhaps the 'best thing' that happened yesterday is that I woke up in such a good mood following my Library visit to Redwater.

Life is obviously easier if you're an optimist. It's easier still, if you're grateful for everything good in your life. It was bloody hard being an optimist when I was so mired in grief. Being sad almost EVERY DAY AND NIGHT for almost two years was horrendous. As a result 'not being sad' is.......an unbelievable relief.

In fact 'not being sad' just might be the best thing that happens to me today. If it is, that's MORE THAN ENOUGH.
