Unbelievable!

That's what I said to my best guy pal Danny Hooper yesterday. We were having a great visit on the phone when the topic turned to this past Sunday's NFL playoff games. His team, the Seattle Seahawks and my team, the Pittsburgh Steelers both lost. He asked 'Sister, why wasn't your guy playing?' He was referring to my favourite Steeler, Troy Polamalu. I laughed, and explained that Troy had retired last year. 'Hmph', he said. 'Can't believe you didn't tell me'.

Truth be told, I really didn't see much football last year. In fact, I missed out on a good many things in both 2014 and 2015. I pointed this out to Danny and explained that I was so immersed in 'recovery' last year, that many things just fell to the wayside.

'You're right Sister', he said. He added 'in fact, now that I think about it, you really failed me in ALL news updates last year'. He then went on to tell me all the other ways he'd been affected by my year of 'recovery'. That's when I said.......... 'unbelievable'.

We agreed we wouldn't let 'that' ever happen again.

After a great chit chat, he sent me a text telling me that hearing 'me' so happy made 'him' very happy. I felt the exact same way about him after I had hung up.

By the way, talking to Danny about football is like talking to a 'duck about tossing a javelin'.

It's just never going to make any sense to Danny......or the duck.
