A brave new world

Good Thursday afternoon!

Very exciting day here on Jasper Avenue. I bought myself a present the other day. It's a 'robot'. He's a Roomba and he's apparently going to be taking care of my floors from here on in.

I actually purchased him over a week ago. I just wasn't ready to open the box and let him out, and so he sat there all wrapped up leaning against the wall until this morning.

Having decided this was the day, I decided to clean my home first. I did the bathrooms, laundry, dusting, changed the bed and THEN it was time. Time to meet my new robot. Time to do the floors. Time to potentially change my life forever.

It was just like Christmas morning. The anticipation was palpable! Can't tell you how disappointed I was when I finally made it through the SIX layers of packaging to only find out my new Robot had to be charged overnight. 'Overnight??????' I didn't want to wait till Friday; I had waited long enough!

I plugged him in, and luckily within a couple of hours he was fully charged and ready to go. Turns out I didn't have to wait overnight.

He's now scooting about my home. It's really quite exciting. I can't tell how good a job he's doing as its already getting dark. It's in the light of day I'll be able to tell his effectiveness.

Had a GREAT outing in Innisfree last night! People there were so kind! I'm off to Heisler Sunday.
