Hope and peace
Oh, I'm loving my life today!
High atop the city traffic, I woke up and heard there was snow this morning. I jumped out of bed to have a gander. Actually, 'jump' would be an exaggeration. I slowly made my way out of bed to see this grand force of Mother Nature. Near as I can tell, we had very little snow here in downtown Edmonton.
For reasons I don't quite understand, I'm excited about the snow. I love sitting next to my fireplace on cold days. I also want to get out a little more this winter. Perhaps snowshoeing, going to the many outdoor festivities in downtown Edmonton, seeing the 'Ice on Whyte' event and even doing my power walk outdoors.
Again, for reasons I don't quite understand, I have no desire to go to a hot climate this winter. I'd miss my friends and family way too much. I'd miss my 'life' here. I may do little jaunts here and there, but home is where I want to be.
On days like today, when I have both 'hope and peace' in my life, I'm ever so grateful.
Happy Thursday Friends!
