Good Morning from Jasper Avenue!

I am SO excited to be home! That being said, I find myself this morning looking for my 'travel mates' having had breakfast with them the last 10 days. I love waking up to 'people', and we had wonderful folks with us onKaren Maluta's 'Around the World Travel' excursion to New Orleans.

I met people with whom I expect to have lasting friendships with. Many of us were already talking about our next travel adventure. While we all come from different walks of life, EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE was SO nice.

Over and over again, people told me how they think I'm doing so much better than I was a year ago. Over and over, they encouraged me to keep being strong. Over and over again, they let me know they 'felt' my pain when my world imploded. The 'kindness' was genuine, heartfelt and......healing.

I'm once again ready to get on with the business of living and I have got SO MUCH TO DO!!! I want to book some 'Christmas Dinner' parties with friends, I can't wait to get fresh groceries from Safeway, I'm off to the post office to mail out more books, I have friends and family I want to catch up with in the next few days..........and I hear the stores are filled with Christmas decorations! I can't wait to see them. I'm going to treat myself to a new Christmas tablecloth this year; its for those 2 or 3 dinner parties I'll be hosting.

A year ago, the thought, scents, sights and sounds of Christmas made me cry. I may weep a little this year, but it'll be nothing like last year.
