The Big Easy
No tarot cards for these gals!
Good evening from New Orleans! Had another wonderful day here in the Big Easy. Started off with a USA Today (my FAVOURITE American newspaper) and breakfast at the bar. It wasn't a breakfast of beer and schnapps, it's just that we ate at the bar in our hotel.
After a lively discussion about the Keystone Pipeline and Donald Trump, we headed out on a city tour. It was a walking tour where we were all given headsets so that we could hear our tour guide. It took less than 4 minutes before me and Tiffany Dowhan turned off the headsets, made our way to the back of the pack and visited with each other the entire time. It's not that we weren't interested. Actually, I take that back. Truth is, we weren't that interested. Tiffany and I are very close friends. We've both been so busy as of late, we haven't had any quality time together. Today was 'our' day.
After the tour, we enjoyed a leisurely lunch, went moseying about, then returned to our hotel for a nap and a workout. The group meets in another half hour for dinner. I look forward to hearing about everyone else's adventures from today. I suspect just about EVERYBODY accomplished more than we did.
Oh, the tarot cards! We saw a couple of ladies offering readings. When I asked the prices, one said $20, the other said $40. They both explained though that you pay according to how 'happy' you are with the reading! Is that a 'Sharon and Danny scam' or what???? The two of us could make a fortune down here, especially if we got paid to give people 'happy prognostications!' Oh, and we wouldn't be charging......5 bucks
