My rear view mirror
Happy Saturday!
Oh, I do so love my Saturday mornings! Cinnamon buns, coffee and the Edmonton Journal.
It was August 4th that I released my book, 'The Gift of Adultery'. It is not an exaggeration to state that but for the odd glance in my rear view mirror, I have not looked back since. That doesn't mean I still don't think about what happened, it just means that I have a wonderfully full life and I receive 'extreme kindness' on a weekly basis. In addition, I have met some remarkable people.
Take for example, Florence Chubaty of Tofield. Until yesterday, I had only met Florence on Facebook. She very kindly invited me to Tofield's Farmer's Market, where I was able to meet with people who wanted to purchase my book. I walked into the hall with just a handful of copies believing I had more than enough. I wasn't there half an hour before I had to head out to my vehicle to bring in a box of books! While I'm always thrilled to share my story, it was meeting Florence that truly captivated me yesterday. She is a community spit-fire! It's clear she is known and loved by all. Her energy, enthusiasm and spirit left me inspired. It's so interesting. People are always graciously thanking me for coming out to their venues, and yet I'm the one being so richly rewarded with 'their' stories. Thank you Florence.
Tonight, I'll be speaking at Tiffany Dowhan's High Heels and Spurs Gala. I honestly can't wait. I know that tonight I will meet a myriad of people with remarkable stories that will undoubtedly inspire me further.
I'm allegedly the one who is supposedly 'empowering others' and yet after each and every outing, I come back 'awe struck' by the courage of others.

Have a joyful Saturday my friends!
