Thank you, Mayerthorpe!

What a marvellous day in Mayerthorpe! I had SUCH FUN yesterday! THANK YOU!!!

I arrived at 11:30 to have lunch with, and meet with the local writers group, some of whom are genealogists. We had a lively, entertaining discussion before the Library was opened to the public at 1:30. I gave a short talk, then read from my book. Wouldn't you know it, I inadvertently picked the chapter with the worst word in it! I realized several pages in and told the group of my error. Everyone laughed and assured me they'd probably heard 'that word' before! Nonetheless I cringed as I said it out loud.

I then signed books and visited. It was for all intents and purposes a 'red letter day'. I was even sent home with a container of homemade goodies! Last night I had tea and apple raisin pie for my evening snack.

I eventually turned in, with my heart full of contentment and love.

I continue to be gob-smacked. Even as I write this I'm pinching myself. The extreme kindness shown to me is mind boggling. I realized too last night how much laughter had returned to my life. We laughed a LOT yesterday about things I never believed I'd ever be even to talk about.

Thank you for giving me the chance to share my story. It have been overwhelmingly healing.

Off to Tofield tomorrow! I'll be at the Community Hall In the afternoon. GIDDY UP!!!!!

Happy, Happy Thursday!
