Thinking on my feet

Happy Tuesday!

Greetings from Jasper Avenue on what looks like another beautiful, glorious fall day. Like most of you, I was up half the night watching election results. If I wasn't such a private person, I'd be drawn to politics. Perhaps someday.

First things first; 'my book and speaking tour.' As you know, I happen to love public speaking. It's how I got into radio. I have, in my opinion, written a very good speech about the implosion of my life, the grief and subsequent on-going recovery. Here's the problem. I've YET to deliver that speech! Each and every time I hit the stage, I just.....start speaking. This past weekend at the Women's Show, I don't believe I even opened up the folder with my speech in it!

While I can obviously think on my feet, I would love just once, to give the speech I've prepared! I've got another shot at it this Saturday at the High Heels and Spurs Gala. We'll see what happens.😳

I'm off to the Mayerthorpe Public Library tomorrow where I'll be speaking and signing books from 1:30 to 4. I look forward to my westward outing!
