Have you seen my spectacles?
I do love when I make 'myself' laugh!
Good Tuesday morning!
It happened yesterday when I was at the Shopper's Drug Mart to mail off another batch of 'The Gift of Adultery' books. I walked past the stand with all the reading glasses and I noticed the pretty colours. I said to myself 'that's what I need! I don't need a new dress for Tuesday's reading and book signing at the Camrose Pulic Library, orchestrated by Lisa Cumming. I need READING GLASSES! I'll get a really fabulous colour, one with designs on it, AND I get one of those hanging necklace's that sparkle and shine just like my Baba's did when she used reading glasses!'
I don't NEED reading glasses; I just thought they'd make me look oh so smart and oh so proper. I thought they'd made me look like a real author! That's when I laughed at myself. The absurdity!
I am obviously very excited and honoured to be going to Camrose today. I'll be at the Library between 5-7.
This morning I have an interview on 680 CJOB Radio in Winnipeg at 10:30. I believe you can listen online if you're so inclined.
Another day is well underway. I feel grateful, blessed and peaceful. I prayed and prayed AND prayed for days like this. Whatever your situation is today, PLEASE remember things can change in a heartbeat. A week ago today, I found myself wondering if anyone would show up at my book launch at Cohen's Corner organized by Toby Mary Roach and Edin Viso.
They did.
Thank you.
