This too, shall pass

Good Thursday Morning!

My play date is well underway. We had dinner at the Cactus Club last night, and I just popped a pie in the oven for dessert tonight. I'm having 4 ladies over for dinner tonight before we head off to the Lion King.

I continue to be overwhelmed by the help I'm getting with my little book project. Danny Hooper, my best guy friend, will be delivering books to Vermilion this weekend for me. He's headed that way to play the Vermilion Fair. As of August 4th, the books will be available at J.S.K. Sales and Service Ltd, thanks to Vivian Wolgien and her family.

Next Tuesday Dwayne M Nemlander, who has driven for some of the biggest celebrities in Canada, will be taking a box of my books out to Guardian Drugs in Killam. He's a remarkable Father, and an exceptional husband.

Again, these are just really kind people going OUT OF THEIR way to help.

Thank you for all the suggestions for 'book selling locations'. Please note that I can't just walk into a Costco or a Walmart and ask them to sell my book for me! Those locations require corporate approval at head offices in other parts of the country or world. It's why I'm so appreciative that so many 'Mom and Pop' businesses in Alberta have stepped up and offered to help.

It is my plan to visit as many communities as possible for book signings. For example, I'll be em-ceeing the Vilna Fair Saturday August 15th. Brenda Lee Kissel will be with me that day selling my books, and I'll of course be signing.

Last summer, I remember walking around in a daze. I cried EVERY day. I couldn't believe what had happened. I was still shell shocked.

This summer? There isn't enough time in my day to get everything done that I want to. I share this with you, in the hopes that if you are going through a dark time, you'll KNOW that it WILL pass. Please be very kind to yourself; be gentle to yourself; treat yourself the way you'd treat a fragile child. If you're suffering in any way, you ARE broken and you need tender care.
