Adultery is not a victim-less act

I just HAVE to comment on something I heard on the weekend.

Good Morning. What I heard made me angry. It was a news story about how the number of divorces ALWAYS goes up after the Calgary Stampede. The news story explained it's all the infidelity that occurs during the Stampede that leads to the increase in divorces. A young waitress laughed as she told the reporter 'if your marriage can survive the Stampede, you're good to go!'

Wow. I wonder if that young woman has ever experienced betrayal. I appreciate it was a flippant remark, but really???????

The 'Stampede' is not to blame. This sort of reckless, irresponsible behaviour occurs all over the place.

I've often wondered how adulterers think. I wonder how my ex would feel if his brother in law cheated on his beloved sister. What would he say if this happened to his daughter, his Mom, his step sister? What would he say if he saw them lying in the fetal position on the couch, unable to sleep or eat because of extreme distress?????

What about women who sleep with married men? How would they feel if someone did this to their daughter, son, or best friend?

Adultery is NOT a victimless act. It can literally destroy lives. I was lucky. It only made me stronger.
