Drought, The Book Store Lady and Being Extraordinary
Good Friday morning!
While I'm obviously busy with my own little life, I'm hardly oblivious to what's going on in the real world. Like all of you, I'm concerned about the lack of moisture we've had so far this year. Droughts are scary, and we are for all intents and purposes, 'in' one. I have many friends who depend on the weather for their livelihood. A drought to them isn't just physically uncomfortable, it can be financially devastating.
I can't even imagine the frustration of having to depend on Mother Nature. In radio, I received a pay check regardless of the weather.
I have tremendous empathy for anyone feeling 'drought pressure'. There is so much in life we can't control, it makes me want to insure that I really do a great job of managing the things I 'can' control.
This morning, I have a meeting with Toby Mary Roach. Toby will be selling my book 'The Gift of Adultery' in her new book store, called 'Cohen's Corner'. It's at 9552-87 street in Edmonton's Strathearn district. I've never met with a 'book store lady', so I really can't wait!
Have a great weekend. Here's to being 'extraordinary' at the things in life we do control. xox
